Coding&Doing – an Erasmus+ project in the nursery school

The non-profit organisation KEHSIA  (whose name stands for “Knowledge and Empowerment Hub for Citizen Science and Innovation Approach”) organises and coordinates European educational and exchange projects, including Erasmus+ projects.

KEHSIA welcomed kindergarten teachers from FISM Parma to Luxembourg as part of the Erasmus+ project “CODING&DOING”, developed together with the nursery team of European School Luxembourg II. The project promotes innovative teaching methods in early childhood education through coding, computational thinking, and experiential learning.

During the job-shadowing week, the teachers attended training sessions organised by the Luxembourg-based organisation “Kids Life Skills”. They explored coding activities, educational robots, and inclusive teaching strategies for young children. The teachers also had the opportunity to apply these methods directly in the multicultural classrooms of European School Luxembourg II.

Beyond professional development, the experience also encouraged collaboration, intercultural exchange, and the sharing of educational practices among teachers from different countries, fully reflecting the values of the Erasmus+ programme.
