Student Mobility: English Olympiad / Suceava, Romania, 7–12 September 2026

As a follow-up activity of the Erasmus+ project Language Integration and Technology (LIT) 2025-1-LU01-KA122-SCH-000322183, students from European School Luxembourg II participated in the International English Language Olympiad 2026 in Suceava, Romania.

The Olympiad brought together students from 14 different countries in a challenging international environment combining written and speaking competitions, team projects, cultural activities and intercultural exchange. Our students demonstrated not only strong English language skills, but also creativity, collaboration, resilience and confidence.

They achieved excellent results in both the individual competition and the project category, including 1st Prize at C1, 3rd Prize at B1, two Honourable Mentions at B2, 3rd Prize in the B1 project competition and an Honourable Mention at C1.

The experience gave real meaning to the European dimension of the Erasmus+ project. Beyond the competition itself, the mobility encouraged them to become more confident, adaptable and aware of their role as young European citizens. It showed that language learning is not only a means of communication, but also a way of sharing cultures, exchanging perspectives, building connections and strengthening a sense of European belonging.
