Reading Is Anything but Boring! Books Inspire Our Pupils from ESLux1&ESLux2

READING IS BORING! THERE ARE NO EXCITING BOOKS!

Could either of these statements sound like something you would say? Then you’ve probably never attended one of Ms Kemnitz’s book recommendation shows!

Once again, our guest from Berlin, Germany, succeeded in getting children excited about reading with her captivating show. She introduced them to six recent, age-appropriate books covering a variety of topics. After the presentations, the audience had the chance to vote for their favourite books. With a little luck, these books will soon be available to borrow from our school library.

What made this day particularly special was that pupils from the German section of the European School Lux 1 in Kirchberg came to visit us especially for this event.

More than 220 pupils from P1 to P5 therefore spent a wonderful morning surrounded by books. They also took the opportunity to get to know one another and to show our guests from ESLux1 around our school.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this special morning possible! Special thanks go to Ms Barbara Daroca and her team at LES MOTS DE ZAZA, who generously funded this project for both schools.

On behalf of the German Section of the Primary School,

Miriam Kessler, P5DE/ESLux2
