P5DE: Franka Zimmer in the Final of the Luxembourgish Reading Competition in Esch
As happens every year, our primary school participated in the annual Luxembourgish reading competition VIRLIESCONCOURT organized by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth. This year, Franka Zimmer from class P5DE made it all the way to the final of this exciting competition which took place on July 2, 2026, at the Ariston Theatre in Esch. Franka first succeeded in the internal school competition at EEL2 and subsequently qualified for the final round—featuring the top eight contestants—out of more than 4,500 participants from across Luxembourg. All the readers were required to read both familiar and unfamiliar texts in two languages (German, Luxembourgish, English, or French) before a jury. Franka narrowly missed out on the top spot. Nevertheless, we are incredibly proud of her and congratulate her on this magnificent achievement.
